The Secret of Secrets
There are three reasons why esoteric knowledge is called “occult.” First of all, esoteric comes from the Greek esoterikos meaning “belonging to an inner circle,” which is derived from esotero meaning “more within.” Occult comes from the Latin occultare meaning “to keep secret,” which in turn derives from the Latin oculus meaning “eye.” So, both terms describe knowledge that is deliberately kept hidden or reserved. Neither term means “evil” or “dark.”
Keeping this knowledge sequestered away was to ensure it never became completely destroyed during darker periods of time (like the Inquisition), from falling into the hands of malicious tyrants, and to ensure that it would not be misunderstood, demonized or abused by the ignorant layman. If you wanted this knowledge you had to prove yourself worthy of it.
The final reason relates to dark occultists. These are individuals who do not have the spiritual evolution of humanity in mind and use this knowledge to control and manipulate for their own goals. They keep this knowledge hidden because a) they think only they have the right to it, and b) their control system would fall apart if the masses had access to it and understood it.
Today, it isn’t so hidden anymore with the advent of the internet. The modern-day method of dark occultists is dissuasion. This is why people tend to associate the word “occult” with things like ouija boards, fortune telling, devil worship, witchcraft, etc. It is deliberate obfuscation to keep people away from this knowledge. While some of these practices may include occultism, they do not define it.
Occultism is neither good nor evil. Any kind of knowledge can be used for either, and the occult is no different. It’s similar to a sharp blade which can either be used to prepare a nutritious meal or to take someone’s life. It all comes down to the individual wielding it. And whether or not you want to apply this knowledge in your life, it’s still important to understand what it actually is and what it contains. It is used against us in many ways, and most of us are completely oblivious to it due to obfuscation, dissuasion and ignorance. So, as a result, a knowledge differential is created and that, in turn, creates a power differential. To know what the enemy knows is vital to our freedom.
In a nutshell, occultism contains two bodies of knowledge called Arcana. The Minor Arcana has to do with the human psyche such as our motivations, fears, inner workings, the nature of consciousness, etc. The Major Arcana is about the external world such as the Laws of the Universe, seen and unseen; physical and spiritual. Occultism is about understanding how these two dynamics work, individually and harmoniously. As above, so below. As within, so without.
The most occult knowledge – the secret of secrets of all esoteric traditions – is Natural Law AKA Cosmic Law, Universal Law, Karmic Law, Cause & Effect, Consequentialism, God’s Law, etc. It also connects to The Golden Rule. If we don’t understand this as a species, and do not live in accordance with it, we only create chaos and suffering. That’s our condition today. We’ve replaced Natural Law with the whims and decrees of men. We’ve replaced the Authority of the Creator with man’s erroneous claims of “authority” and “government,” neither of which are morally legitimate or natural.
No ostensible religion teaches this Law; or if it does, it does so poorly. Religions still encourage obedience to “authority” and ruling classes. They are owned and operated by dark occultists. They don’t want you embracing notions of sovereignty and spiritual power, they want you on your knees. They want you sitting idly in prayer, taking no right action in the world, and waiting on mystical forces or holy avatars to come save you while evil runs amok.
Other forms of religion have similar “salvationist” dogma. Instead of deities and supernatural forces coming to save us from ourselves, it’s ET races (Ashtar Command, Galactic Federation, the Pleiadians, etc), politicians and governments, or artificial intelligence systems. None of them want us understanding that WE create our conditions; WE cause our suffering; and WE are ultimately responsible for changing these things through an act of will.
This is what genuine occult knowledge has always taught. Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom are our true Holy Trinity. This correlates to Mind, Spirit and Body or Thought, Emotion and Action. And Natural Law is the governing dynamic that determines the consequences of those actions. You could call it the REAL “Law of Attraction,” because aggregate moral behavior creates aggregate freedom. This is what every control system and every dark occultist never wants us to understand. They want to be the Authority. They want to be the Law. Sadly, they’ve accomplished this, but we can change course. We can take in this knowledge, evolve in consciousness, and engage our will to act.
This secret-of-secrets isn’t so secret, really. We are dissuaded from it. Again, this is why we have negative connotations to the word “occult.” They don’t want anyone learning it, and they don’t want anyone taking an integral and active approach to spirituality. They want us in thrall, in subservience and obedience. They want us docile, dumb, divided and deluded.
Genuine / Light Occultism is the ultimate philosophy of freedom – inner and outer. Natural Law is at its core. Research it. Use the Trivium Method. It will help you develop the necessary correlational thinking to understand it and see through the subversive use of symbolism and language to keep you asleep; to keep you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually deadened.
It’s time to wake up.
